An interesting side-effect of moving

One of the unexpected side-effects of moving into my first place is that everyone is coming out of the woodwork to offer me their stuff. Furniture. Small kitchen appliances. Decorative objects. More furniture. It's crazy!

And when I say "everybody," I really do mean "everybody." My mom. Her friends. Our handyman. Marc's aunt's friends. (Yes, she specifically called me up tonight to let me know that two of her friends were moving in together and had duplicates of everything.)

On the one hand, it's going to make the whole "moving out" experience a lot less expensive. On the other, I feel like I need a spreadsheet or something. *grin*

Same thing happened to me! People are STILL giving me furniture.

Good Luck with the move and sorry I missed you at Pennsic

Loved reading your Pennsic Diaries online - they really helped me "frame up" what Pennsic is like prior to me going. This year was my second Pennsic and I was hoping to shake the hand of the Pocket Bard (or at least offer you a drink). Alas, the best laid plans of mice and men (or in my case, I simply overscheduled myself again!). Hopefully your foot isn't giving you any trouble. Heard the horror stories of bugs abounding this year, so the moment I returned I upended my earth pimple and gave all a good shaking.

I'll try again next year. In the mean time, I love your diary and hope you'll keep writing it.

Sounds great. I look forward to meeting you.

My foot is completely healed, which is a very good thing. It was on the mend towards the end of War Week, and pretty much back to 100% within a week after returning home.

I heard bug horror stories too. Apparently one of my friends was one of the people the PI warned about, who had the bug crawl into her ear. I'm glad I avoided that one!
