Better by sunlight

Today's essay in Daily Breadcrumbs talks about the Passover and its implications on Jewish and Christian communities.

After an internal crisis last night and this morning, my class actually went quite well. The majority of the class consisted of new students, so we took a half hour doing introductions and getting to know each other. Also, I went slowly through the material I prepared, meaning that I only got through about half of what I was planning to cover today. I should stress that this is absolutely ok. I was hoping I wouldn't cover everything today, and had in fact overplanned.

Tomorrow I keep chugging away. The material I didn't get to today will cover, hopefully, the first half of class. The second half will probably be entirely different, and I must plan that tonight.

Other plans for today: drive up to Ian's parents', get together with Marc, possibly do some karate, plan my lesson for tomorrow. Also, I really need to figure out whether I'm going to 12th Night this weekend; I'm still wavering. I'm sure the answer will come to me in time.

So, for now, TTFN. I'm off to have some lunch.

Trying something a bit new

So... I've decided I'm not going to make myself crazy. I photocopied the pages I want to cover tomorrow, and quite a few extra just in case, and we'll see how much I get through. I figure that as long as I overplan and don't wind up with dead time trying to figure out what to do, I don't care. I've already planned the first half of class, as it was supposed to be the second half of yesterday's class. We'll see how the second half of tomorrow's class goes. If I can do it with only the 15-30 minutes of planning I put, I will be one very happy camper, because it means I can do it again and don't need to stress too much.

In other news, I had quite a good afternoon today. Quite a good afternoon indeed. More details later when I'm at liberty to write them.

Now, to shower and to sleep. My goodness, I'm sleepy. G'night, all.
