Fondue party wrap-up

I hereby declare yesterday's fondue party to be an unconditional success. I didn't count, but at its peak I think we had 20-25 people, we consumed over 3 pounds of chocolate, and we had far more dip-ables than we knew what to do with (including the utterly brilliant idea of croissants, credit to my coworker Tony). We played some hilarious round of Baron Munchausen, featuring such remarkable takes as Vicount Marc's battle with a giant alligator and Sir Fox's recovery of the Land of Ice Cream and Candy. We also had a few rounds of Boggle, Betrayal at the House on the Hill, and Settlers. Oh, and I got to play with a baby.

All things considered, an absolutely wonderful way to pass one's 27th birthday.

As an addendum, I found that the whole thing got both easier to plan and resulted in much more food when I started making it a pot-luck. When all I have to buy is the chocolate, cream, and soda (and, y'know, paper plates and stuff) it is much cheaper for me, and I find myself inundated with fruit from my guests. Just something to keep in mind.
