"That's what I like about you . . . "

Taken from [livejournal.com profile] liamstliam

I know that 2009 was pretty horrid for a lot of people, and to be honest, 2010 has been no great shakes so far. One way we might make the rest of 2010 a bit better is to spread some love around. So if you care to reply to this post I will give you a response of something I like about you.

If you like participating in these sorts of things and want to repost this in your LJ, that would be fun, too.

I'm glad to see so many people that want to help make 2010 a little better for others. Even if they are just words, words can stick with you for a long long time.

I love the effort you put into your wedding dress / garb. It looks stunning.

I love the way you can capture an audience with your bardic, and how you seem surprised each time you do it. *grin*

Awww. Thank you! *blushes* I do take pride in what I do!

I need to get the tune down for the Dione Sidhe song so I can sing it for the house hold. You are incredibly creative! I'm a little jealous at times. =D

Which one? The Dione Sidhe song (http://pocketbard.wordpress.com/master-song-list/the-rubber-duckies-of-dione-sidhe/) with the chorus "all the rubber ducks go quack, quack, quack" is to the tune of Cruiscin Lan, which is very popular and you'll be able to find it all over the internet. (You can start here (http://www.chivalry.com/cantaria/lyrics/cruiscin-lan.html).)

The other one, (http://pocketbard.wordpress.com/master-song-list/the-sign-of-the-duck/) about the raising of the cooking house, doesn't have a tune, because I suck at coming up with original tunes. So that one is just recited. (Unless you can find someone who can make a melody out of it. It's in simple ballad meter.)

I love your ability to create a community around you, in both real life and here on LJ. You're one of those people who I turn to if I need something to happen, because I know you'll get it done.

I love (and am deeply envious of) your ability to take a string of yarn and turn it into something pretty.

You do realize I have that song in my head now, yes? o_O So now you must placate me.

It wasn't my fault, I swear! That's just the name of the meme!

Though I don't know you well, I love that you're the sort of person who makes me feel welcome after only one or two meetings. I love your sense of humour as well.

I love watching you perform. I love how you can draw in an audience and keep them engaged. Also, anyone who can play a hammered dulcimer gets extra-special bonus points in my book.
